At Refresh Rx Hawaii Where Every Body Matters, he focuses on caring for each patient’s total wellness based on the individual, whether combining traditional western medicine treatments with integrative medicine techniques such as acupuncture, tai chi, and herbalism. His goal as a physician is to care for his patients’ physical, mental, and emotional needs, contributing to their health now and into the future. This knowledge also allows him to help his patients select the therapies that are most likely to improve their health. After earning his medical degree from the University of Washington, Dr. Lee completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s School of Medicine. He also served as a lecturer at the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the Bastyr University of Natural Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Later, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he taught at the Institute of Chinese Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine where he has also continued to serve on the Executive Board of Directors helping to raise the standards of the practice through accreditation of the school’s Master and Ph.D. programs. In his free time, Dr. Lee addresses his own wellness with stand-up paddleboarding, creating pottery, and daily spiritual practice of his beliefs including practice at the spiritual training hall where he is active as a member.
