The Boys Republic of Monrovia has worked with over 28,000 children in its one-hundred plus years in operation. It has several branches throughout southern California. This location of the Boys Republic has a foster family agency and a day treatment program. It offers transitional housing, and is associated with the Department of Education. St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity for funding research to cure childhood cancers. It started on St Patrick's Day 2000, when 17 volunteers agreed to shave their heads to fundraise. The event brought in more than $100,000, and the founders knew this was a successful venture. Today, more than 144,000 volunteers have gone hairless for charity, raising in excess of $87 million.

The Monrovia Historical Museum is located inside a historic 1925 Spanish-style building on East Lemon Avenue inside Recreation Park.
The museum has two major wings. One is devoted to the history of the city and its founding, while the other includes Native American artifacts dating back centuries and a natural history section.
The museum is open Thursdays and Sundays and can be rented out for private events.
The Foothilll Community Center is a non-profit aid organization that provides support to low income families and the homeless in the form of food, clothing, motel vouchers, and referrals/advocacy.
The center also works with other agencies to provide long-term shelter, counseling, medical, educational, employment and spiritual assistance.
