Holy Name Catholic Church is located on Harmon Street, and has been a part of the Birmingham community for more than 80 years. The church's ministry program is active in its members' lives, with a variety of programs for seniors, bereavement services and various outreach programs.
The church is active in promoting the health of its parishioners with its Parish Health Ministry Program. Holy Name provides blood pressure screening, CPR training sessions and various speakers throughout the year.
The church building features its three large stained-glass windows, all designed by Detroit native, Margaret Cavanaugh.

St. Leander Catholic Church is part of the Diocese of Oakland. It's located on Estudillo Avenue near the historic Peralta House. The original site for St. Leander Church was donated by José Joaquín Estudillo, the founder of San Leandro. The last home of Estudillo, built around 1850, is connected to the church. The existing church was built in 1957.

St. Leander has a private Pre K through 8th grade school, which is connected to the church.
The mission of Santa Maria Catholic Church is to "know Jesus better and make Him better known". The distinctive bells of the church, which rings in song, welcome parishioners and visitors to the well-shaded grounds. St Kilian's Catholic church is very involved in the Mission Viejo community. The church partners with the local Catholic schools in the city, has a youth ministry, and supports the Orange County Catholic Foundation. St. Kilian's also has adult programs and ministries. The church holds three masses a week, one of which is a youth mass.
