Our Lady of Angels Preschool creates a Christian community in which children are encouraged to learn, play and grow. The school believes in the importance of having a strong partnership with the parents to ensure the best education possible. All parents are required to volunteer at the school about once a month. The preschool is affiliated with Our Lady of Angels Parish, which is located right down the street. All staff members are CPR certified.
Drive through the stone gates at the corner of Adeline Drive and Hoover Avenue in Burlingame and you will enter the the 40-acre tranquil grounds of the Mercy Center.
It's a 90-room religious retreat and conference center run by The Sisters of Mercy. There are miles of hiking trains throughout the property and you'll even find a labrynth, one of just a few in Northern California.
Many nonprofit and religious groups take advantage of the peaceful setting for conferences and events. Both long term and short term stays are available with reservations.
St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church prides itself on the warmth of its community and its congregation. Much of the congregation is made up of the families of the children who attend the St. Catherine of Catholic Siena School, located next door to the church. St. Catherine's also depends on its group of missionary nuns from Italy to build the community. The church provides a wide-variety of ministry to its parishioners and holds daily mass.
