The Nature Place is a conference and training center located in Florissant, Colo. It is spread across an area of more than 6,000 acres and hosts business meetings, leadership development programs, history groups and reunions. The center features over 50 studio apartments that are constructed of natural wood and native rock. Its conference rooms have a total seating capacity of up to 150 people. The Nature Place serves homemade meals in its dining hall that features booster seats and high chairs for families with young children. The center maintains a lodge that includes a lounge, library and recreational area with pool and foosball tables. It also features a sports complex that houses an indoor swimming pool, exercise room, multiuse game court and outdoor amphitheater, as well as hiking trails and tennis and volleyball courts. The center additionally maintains an astronomy observatory and offers recreational programs, such as rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, mountain biking, and arts and crafts. The Nature Place is operated by the Colorado Outdoor Education Center.
