We understand the special role your dog, cat, exotic pet, or horse plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your companion animal's health care. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy animals; early detection and treatment of disease as your companion animal ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. We also work closely with several regional referral hospitals to provide specialty care when it is required.
What sets us apart... We are proud to provide 24 hour on-call emergency services to OUR patients. We also strive to offer emergency services to non-clients/patients based on our availability and discretion. The doctors work regularly scheduled hours, but also rotate call duty so that our client's pets are seen locally if an emergency should arise after-hours or on holidays.
Our practice philosophy is to provide our patients and clients with a health care team that strives to provide high quality, up to date medical and surgical care. We accomplish this through vigorous continuing education programs for our doctors and staff, and through providing educational information to our clients as well. We understand that the human-animal bond is important to the people we serve, and we take pride in helping each pet fulfill its role as an important part in his or her owner's life.
As an overview, here at Ridgefield Animal Hospital we provide a broad array of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with regional referral practices when special procedures or expertise is required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray and ultrasound capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, isolation area and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.
