First Baptist Church is a place where members are busy, excited, involved, and anxious about the happenings of a multi-faceted ministry. With several dozen ministries involving various age groups, there is a place for you.
Whether you are new to church or coming from another ministry, the opportunities to serve and be a part of First Baptist are numerous. Hundreds of people volunteer both on Sunday and throughout the week, and they find a special joy in serving Christ, using their talent and abilities for the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a church, but more than that, we are a church family serving together where everyone can have a part. We work together for the cause of Christ and experience a common bond in knowing the Lord, worshipping together, and growing in our faith. It is exciting to witness how our own lives are changed for the better as well as the lives of our own families, friends, and others in the community.
Cross of Christ Community Church is located in downtown Lakeville, on the corner of 210th Street West and Holyoke Avenue. Worship services are held on Sundays at 10:30am, with Education classes for all ages at 9:30am. Various ministries are available, including "worship teams" and ministries for children, men's and women's groups, small groups and youth programs. An active motorcycle ministry meets about every other week. The church sponsors a community meal once a month. Check the Outreach section of the website for dates. Cross of Christ is a member of the Baptist General Conference.
Sunday morning worship service at Apple Valley Baptist begins at 10:45am. Typically, a blend of hymns and choruses accompanies a sermon, which explains and applies a passage of Scripture to daily life. Sharing and prayer are also important parts of each service. Bible classes for every member of the family meet at 9:30am on Sunday mornings, September through May. Youth and prayer meetings are held on Wednesday evenings.
Located in the Kingfield neighborhood of Southwest Minneapolis, Judson Memorial Baptist Church offers a progressive community of faith for members. The church emphasizes church autonomy, biblical freedom, separation of church and state and social justice. Judson practices in the American Baptist tradition, which split off from Southern Baptists in the 19th Century over the issue of slavery. The church provides a number of activities for members, including youth groups, classes and community service opportunities.
