Located in an unassuming area at the historic Watertown Arsenal, the Commander's Mansion on the National Historic Registry can be rented out for formal events including weddings, dances and other elegant social functions. In addition to interior spaces, there is a spacious patio and a large lawn which can accommodate larger groups.
At the Watertown Sons of Italy Function Hall, you'll find two separate meeting halls capable of entertaining nearly any size group. There's a smaller hall suited for 15 to 80 people, and a larger hall that can serve 100 to 275. This is an ideal location for any social function, including wedding receptions, birthday, graduations, bar and bat mitzvahs, and business meetings. The amenities include a stage, bar and a full kitchen, and the organization hosts regular events such as weekly bingo nights.
The history of Ancient Order of Hibernians dates back to 1836 in New York and Pennsylvania. Members must be men 16 years and older who are practicing Roman Catholics of Irish birth or descent and who are citizens of United States or who have declared their intentions to become U.S. citizens. The club strives to foster and preserve the art, dance music and sports from Ireland. There is an organization for women, Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, which also meets at the hall.
Hibernian Hall is also available to rent as a banquet facility, accommodating up to 200 people.
