Bashas Markets is a family of nearly 150 grocery stores located throughout Arizona. The family includes stores modeled on four formats that include Bashas , Bashas Din Markets, AJ s Fine Foods and Food City. Each format is designed to serve a different demographic neighborhood. AJ s Fine Foods offers chef-prepared entrees, an extensive wine collection and specialty baked goods. Food City locations each offer a variety of ethnic and Hispanic food products. Bashas Din Markets are located on Native American reservations throughout Arizona and offer food products marketed toward members of the Navajo, Apache and Tohono O odham tribes. Bashas Markets was founded in 1932 by brothers Ike and Eddie Basha and is headquartered in Chandler, Ariz.
