Founded in 1991, American Public University System (APUS) consists of two online universities; American Public University (APU) and American Military University (AMU). It provides career-relevant programs and curriculum with more than 70 undergraduate/graduate degree programs as well as 51 certificate programs. The most popular programs include business intelligence, criminal justice, management, history, psychology, homeland security, sports and information technology that are taught in an online format. It has more than 1,000 faculty members and approximately 60,000 students. American Public University System is both regionally and nationally accredited by federally recognized accrediting agencies.
