Established in 1932, Marymount College is a Catholic college that provides a variety of academic programs and extracurricular activities to students. The college offers courses in anthropology, art, business, communication arts, computer science, economics and English. Its curriculum also includes classes in geography, physical education, religious studies, science and theatre arts. Marymount College s foreign language department provides classes in French, Japanese and Spanish. Its sports program includes cross country, football, soccer, volleyball tennis, swimming, baseball and softball. The college library has a collection of more than 30,000 books, over 200 periodical subscriptions and also provides interlibrary loans. Additionally, the college offers health and counseling services to students. Marymount College is located in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
