Lea County Commission for the Arts operates the Center for the Arts in downtown Hobbs, New Mexico. The Center for the Arts is a place where, through art, people can come to be inspired, to be creative, to be encouraged, to experience pride and success and to contribute to the realization of ones potential. We believe that the arts are an important education tool and we strive to inspire others to enjoy the benefits of being involved with the arts. We are dedicated to providing "Art for All". The Center for the Arts provides current event information for the Community Players of Hobbs, the Southwest Symphony, the Western Heritage Museum, Lea County Museum, and the Llano Estacado Art Association. Among the many programs offered are monthly exhibits, adult art classes, youth Wednesday after school art classes, an artist of the month program, book signings, First Friday Brown Bag Lunch Bunch with art program, and various programs pertaining to performing, visual and literary arts. 2010 Center for the Arts - Lea County Commission for the Arts.
