Founded in 2005, the Vernon Community Arts Center is a nonprofit organization with the goal of "uniting artists and communtiy through exhibition, education, performances, and outreach." Past events have included art exhibitions, coffeehouse jazz and folk series performances, plays, puppet slams, and poetry readings. Gallery 46 is a non-profit organization which supports local artists. Not only is the gallery open for patrons, but it also strives to provide a convenient gallery for local artists to display their work in a modern, lighted venue. Gallery 46 is committed to the enrichment of Vernon's cultural heritage and future. Poetry readings and classes in art education and drawing are occasionally held.
