Westport Animal Hospital has been serving Westport for over 20 years now. It performs routine exams, vaccinations, house calls, health certification and patient transport; Westport Animal Hospital also covers more complicated, specialized procedures such as ultrasound, operations and dental care. It has separate wards for dogs and cats, as well as a 24-hour nursing service. The hospital sponsors adoption and helps with various animal organizations such as the Connecticut Humane Society, Friends of Animals, PAWS, etc.

Its staff of two full-time and one part-time veterinarians provides traditional treatments as well as acupuncture and chiropractic treatments. Inpatient facilities are available for surgical procedures. Radiology, ultrasound, blood work and grooming are also available. 

Goodfriends Veterinary Clinic is run by veterinarians Mark A. Beebe and Stephanie Torlane. Services include vaccination, spaying and neutering, acupuncture and alternative medicine, cardiology, allergy treatment, dental care, dermatology, surgery and more. The clinic is only equipped, however, to care for small animals, cats, dogs and other mammals like chinchillas. It does not care for birds.

Although it has set office hours, appointments are required.

Progressive Animal Wellness is a veterinary clinic that provides general veterinary services to its patients. Dr. Corey Shagensky specializes in emergency medicine, chronic pain management, endocrinology, dermatology and wellness planning. The clinic's goal is, per its Web site, to "bring advanced information and medical technology into the veterinary market in this region while focusing on highly personalized client service and exemplary wellness care to our patients."

Star Meadow has been a fixture in Farmington since 1980 and has been under the direction of Dr. Tanya Battiston and Dr. Shannon Bertolino since 2005. The impeccably clean exterior is bright and welcoming for both pets and their owners. Services offered here include preventative and wellness medicine, internal medicine, surgery and dentistry.

Star Meadow is able to provide 24-hour intensive care for your animal when necessary. Both doctors believe that many pet illnesses are related to diet and, for this reason, they also offer complete nutrition counseling and evaluation.

Dr. Bruce Schatz, DVM and Dr. Chaim Litman work at the Stratford Animal Hospital, which has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere. The waiting area is welcoming and the staff is caring. Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital is the place to bring your cat or dog when they're feeling under the weather. The staff of certified veterinarians, including Dr. Michael Dunn, Dr. William Farrell and Dr. Michael R. Goul, are on hand to offer great care to your precious pets. The hospital also has a 24-hour emergency answering service when you need to get in touch with a vet at any time of the day.
