The Griffith - Merrillville Airport is located in Griffith, Ind. The airport features a 4900- by 75-foot, paved runway as well as VOR, DME, GPS instrument approaches, pilot-controlled lighting, Unicom 123.00, identifier 5C, fuel available in 100LL and Jet A. Its services include Griffith Aviation, an FBO and Flight School; Great Northern, its full-service maintenance; and G & N Aircraft, for custom engine overhauls. Griffith also offers special air ride packages that are available for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions. Flights are available seven days a week, during day and evenings. Flight and pilot training is also available as well as basic private pilot requirements.
