Established in 1931, Midway Volunteer Fire Company offers fire protection and rescue services for local residents, farmers and business owners. It is an all-volunteer organization that provides fire prevention and firefighting services. Located in Lahaska, Pa., Midway Volunteer Fire Company organizes fire safety demonstrations and live vehicle rescue and truck fire drills. Its staff has more than 60 trained firefighters and volunteer members. The organization maintains a range of rescue, firefighting and life-saving equipment, including water tankers, ladders, fire engines, ambulances, patrol vans and utility trailers. Additionally, it participates and organizes a variety of fund drives, carnivals and car raffles.
