The Latah County Sheriffs Office is a full-service public agency that provides law enforcement, emergency, countywide dispatch, and search and rescue services. The office offers drivers licensing, vehicle identification inspection, concealed weapons permit, road condition report, crime prevention and community services. It maintains a field division that is responsible for the enforcement of penal provisions and laws. The Latah County Sheriffs Office operates a fleet of more than 15 marked patrol and over five administrative vehicles. It is governed by Latah County in Idaho, which covers an area of nearly 1,100 square miles.
