The mission of the sheriff's office is to provide citizens with the highest levelof law enforcement in a fair and equitablemanner. It hopes that membersof the community will trust it to respondwith respect and compassion in theirtime of need. By workingproactively with citizens, the office hopes to keepJohnson County a safe place to liveand work. The office is made up of the patrol division, the jail division, records, the civil division, the investigative division and the reserve division. Through these divisions, the office manages a jail that handles up to 92 inmates and leads in-depth investigations that may require specialized training such as burglary, robbery, sexual assault, fraud or homicide.
