Freedom Middle School has been operational since 2001 and is located in Stone Mountain, Ga. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 1,300 students in grades six through eight. It has a parent-teacher association that supports children of the school and represents them before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions. The school offers various athletic activities that include football, soccer, basketball, cheerleading, and track and field. It conducts educational classes in English as a Second Language, math, science, language arts, social studies, technology, health and physical education. Freedom Middle School operates under the DeKalb County School System, which also governs several elementary, middle and high schools.
