The DeKalb County Juvenile Court focuses on restoring the lives of neglected and abused children, as well as redirecting law violating children to become law abiding and productive citizens. It provides a range of special services, life skills and anger management, parenting support, substance abuse and counseling programs. The court offers youth diversion, teen court, transitional and community services and education resource programs. Opened in 2007, the DeKalb County Juvenile Court also provides tutorial, intensive behavior modification and violence prevention education programs. It operates a more than 110,000-square-foot facility. The court is a part of the DeKalb County Government in Georgia.
