The hall has a public works department that offers animal control services and issues building permits. It also features a street and parks department that provides a range of waste water disposal, street maintenance and utility management services. The DeRidder City Hall has a training room that offers a variety of college education programs to residents through Upper Iowa University. Incorporated in 1903, the City of DeRidder is managed by the police and fire departments.
