The City of Boise Planning & Development Services Department maintains erosion control, planning and zoning and comprehensive planning divisions, as well as offers project management services. It has a code enforcement section that works with citizens to resolve complaints concerning violations of zoning, sanitation and nuisance ordinances. The department supports the erosion control program that is designed to reduce sediment discharge and other pollutants and works under the jurisdiction of the Ada County Highway District. The City of Boise Planning & Development Services Department also conducts the neighborhood planning program that works to guide and assist neighborhood associations through reinvestment grants and planning.
