Established in 1945, Catholic Social Services offers community-based services for individuals and families. The center offers parenting support, education and counseling to individuals and families to alleviate parental stress, prevents child neglect and abuse, improve parenting practices and strengthen families. It offers financial management, medical appointments, insurance, transportation and housing services, as well as maintains long-term care facilities in more than 15 counties in the state of Ohio. In addition, Catholic Social Services provides pre- and post-adoption counseling for parents. Through its counseling services unit, the center offers services related to stress and anger management, loss and life adjustment issues, decision-making skills and self-esteem. It maintains an office in Columbus, Ohio.
