Catholic Charities on Pulaski Street is part of the child care division of the Archdiocese of Boston. Charles E. Johnson serves as its director of child care services and he operates a daycare center that serves up to 400 children. Children who live in Peabody and neighboring Salem, Beverly and Danvers are served by the year-round center. It is also licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The center offers a pre-school program from children ages 2.9 - nine-years-old, a kindergarten program and an after-school program from 2pm - 6pm for children ages five - 13-years-old. Children also receive breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.
