Boys & Girls Clubs of Jackson & George Counties, based in Moss Point, Miss., is a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It serves the Jackson and George counties and has been operational since 1992, serving more than 1,400 members annually. It offers five-core program initiatives including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. The clubs provide a range of after school programs for children and disadvantaged youth ages 6 through 18. It also offers prevention programs for youth, including gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and pregnancy prevention.
