The Belknap County Sheriff s Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that prevents crime, protects residents lives and their property, suppresses criminal activity and apprehends criminals. It serves and processes various writs, orders, subpoenas and other civil papers for local courts and other county and state departments. The Belknap County Sheriff s Department maintains a juvenile division that works with area police departments and families to assist in the needs of juveniles who have become involved in the criminal justice system or who are in need of services.
