Established in 1997, Assisted Recovery Centers of America (ARCA) is an evidence-based alcoholism and opiate treatment recovery program in Phoenix, Ariz. It utilizes research-proven anticraving medications, together with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). It is a non-academic, non-institutional program in the United States and a recipient of license by the Arizona Department of Health Services. The center offers a range of services, including individual and group counseling; behavior management and psychological and social rehabilitation. Its treatment protocols follow the research and work of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Treatment Research Center, in Philadelphia.
