Established in 1991, Allen County Community College is located in Burlingame, Kan., and serving local area students from Shawnee, Osage, Lyon, Franklin and neighboring areas. The institute offers a variety of associate degree programs, including general education, business, mathematics and science. Its other programs include communication, fine arts, computer technology, social, behavioral, nursing and allied health. The campus serves more than 1,000 students per semester every year. Allen County Community College provides financial aid and scholarships for students. In addition, the campus organizes workshops and telecourses on weekends to meet students needs. It also provides educational opportunities to working adults by scheduling special classes on evenings and weekends.
