Established in 1972, the Ada County Highway District is responsible for providing an efficient public highway system for the safe movement of people and goods in Ada County, Idaho. The district specializes in the construction, maintenance, operation and rehabilitation of urban streets and rural roadways and bridges. The Ada County Highway District operates and maintains more than 2,000 miles of roads and streets. It is responsible for managing various infrastructure facilities, such as lanes, arterial streets and computerized signal systems. The Ada County Highway District maintains various departments and divisions, including commission, operations, technical services, and planning and projects.
